Through the menu [File] -> [Site Manager] or the CTRL+S key, we can make specific settings for the FTP server to be connected.

Step 1: We can click the [New Site] button and enter the name of the site (it is just a description of the FTP site).

Step 2: As shown in the interface, first enter the host (IP address of the FTP server), select "General" as the login type, and do not select the anonymous option (anonymous means that you can directly access the FTP server without a username and password, but many FTP Servers prohibit anonymous access), and then enter the user and password respectively (if you don't know, you can ask the operator or administrator who provides the FTP service). In addition, we don't need to worry about the port number unless there are special requirements, or you can enter "21".

Step 3: In the Advanced tab, we can set the default remote and local directories. The remote directory is actually the directory that is opened by default after connecting to the FTP server; and the local directory is the local file directory that is displayed by default every time you enter the FTP software (of course If you are not sure or find it troublesome, you can not set the remote and local paths first, the system will use its own default path).

After the above parameters are set, you can use FTP to upload and download files. It is very simple.
