Through online search, you can find the ACX number of the molecular structure, as well as its related synthetic routes and references to understand some of the physical and chemical properties of the compound. Flexible use of ChemDraw's online search function will be of great use to us.
Introduction to the online search function of ChemDraw official version:
After drawing the molecular structural formula in ChemDraw, use the selection tool to select the structural formula, and select the Search menu while connected to the Internet to realize the online search function. It should be noted that before searching, you must register for free on the website being searched. After registration, you can search by entering your user name and password. The various commands under the Search menu are as shown in the figure.
1. Select the Find Suppliers on ChemACX.Com command to retrieve the suppliers of the compound.
2. The Search SciFinder command is to find the relevant physical and chemical data of the compound in the ChemFinder.Com website, and there is a dedicated Search SciFinder button in the ChemDraw drawing window.
3. The Find ACX Numbers from Structure command is to find the ACX number of the compound. After selecting this command, a dialog box asking to enter the compound name will pop up.
4. The Find Structure from ACX Numbers command is to find the ACX number corresponding to the compound structure. After selecting this command, a dialog box asking to enter the ACX number will pop up.
5. The Find Structure from Name at ChemACX.Com command is to find the compound structure in the website using the compound name as the index. After selecting this command, a dialog box asking to enter the compound name will pop up.
How to use the online search function of ChemDraw (take Search SciFinder as an example):
1. First draw the structural formula, and then click the "Search SciFinder Tool" in the toolbar (within the red mark). As shown in Figure 1
Figure 1
2. At this time, ChemBioDraw 14.0 will pop up a new Search SciFinder dialog box. The left side is Substance Search (substance search); the right side is Reaction Search (reaction search). Log in to SciFinder and wait a moment to get the reactive search results. As shown in Figure 2
Figure 2
3. Similarly, this example also takes "propargyl alcohol" as an example to search for substances whose substructure contains propargyl alcohol. As shown in Figure 3
Figure 3
4. The obtained "Substance Search" results are shown in the figure below. As shown in Figure 4
Figure 4
Summary: Do you now understand the online search function of ChemDraw? It should be noted that this function can only be used after drawing the structure in ChemDraw. It will be very gratifying if it can help your learning process. More software tutorials All inHuajun Software Park Information Tutorial Center! ! !
