How does coreldraw software correct image tilt?
Select a bitmap image. We can see that the sea level of this bitmap is in the shape of a diagonal line.
Click the bitmap and execute the "Bitmap" → "Correct Image" command.
Rectify Image Dialog Box
Correct lens distortion
For photos that contain camera lens distortion, or lens distortion, you can correct two types of lens distortion (barrel and pincushion distortion), which bend straight lines in the photo. Barrel distortion makes a photo appear to be pushed out from the center. Pincushion distortion makes the photo appear to be pushed in from the center. Move the slider to the left to correct barrel distortion, and to the right to correct pincushion distortion.
Rotate and preview
Using the Rectify Image dialog box, you can rotate the image by moving the slider or entering a rotation angle. You can specify a custom rotation angle from -15 degrees to 15 degrees.
You can use the preview window to dynamically preview your adjustments. If you want to change the orientation of the image before straightening, you can start the adjustment by rotating the image 90 degrees clockwise and counterclockwise.
A display grid will be enabled in the preview window to help you straighten the image. More precise adjustments can be made by controlling the cell size of the grid. To enhance the contrast of the grid relative to the color of the image, you can change the color of the grid. You can also hide the grid if you want to preview the final result without grid lines. Additionally, you can zoom and pan the image in the preview window to evaluate the results.
Crop
By default, the rectified image will be cropped into the crop area shown in the preview window. The final image has the same aspect ratio as the original image, or it can be generated at an angle by disabling cropping and then cropping the image in the image window using the crop tool.
When the Crop Image checkbox is enabled, the rotated image will be cropped to maintain the aspect ratio of the original image, but areas outside the display of the smaller cropped image will be hidden. If you want to preserve the width and height of the original image, resample the final image by enabling the "Crop and resample to original size" checkbox.
The left picture shows the effect of cropping the image into a smaller size. The right picture shows the effect of cropping the image and resampling to retain the original width and height of the image.
