How to lock the BarTender template label layer
Common use cases for locked layers include pre-printed layers that represent graphics that have been printed on the page, or layers that represent static portions of a template. By locking a layer, you ensure that it cannot be accidentally moved or resized on the template.
In BarTender 2016, layers are managed through the "Layers" pane of the toolbox. This pane lets you create, edit, and maintain layers. Click on the image below

BarTender lock object operations
First, in the BarTender 10.1 design template, select the objects you do not want to move or change - barcodes or text objects, etc. You can select one object or multiple objects at the same time.
Then, select "Arrange > Lock" from the menu bar. You will find that the object you selected cannot be moved or changed.
If you want to change the BarTender locked object, you can click on the object, and then select "Arrange > Unlock" just like locking it. In this way, you can continue to modify the previously locked object.
Of course, you can also double-click the object you want to lock, open the "Object Properties" dialog box, select the "Position" tab, and check "Lock Object" to achieve the purpose of BarTender locking the object.
