A small tutorial on using the geometric sketchpad text tool

Nowadays, many people are using the software Geometric Sketchpad. As you know from a broad perspective, the text tool on the Geometric Sketchpad toolbox is mainly used to show/hide labels for points, lines, and circles or add text descriptions. 1. How to edit text

When designing courseware, in addition to drawing precise geometric figures, some text annotations are also needed to explain the teaching content.

(1) Click the text tool and move the mouse to the appropriate position on the artboard.

(2) Hold down the left mouse button, drag the mouse to draw out a rectangular text editing box, and enter content in this text box.

2.Introducing the text toolbar

The text toolbar is the best way to set text styles, but it is not the toolbar that is opened by default in the geometric sketchpad. Execute the "Display" - "Show Text Toolbar" command to display the text tool below the geometric sketchpad window. column, as shown below.

(1) Click the drop-down button on the right side of the font box to bring up the font drop-down list. Click to select the appropriate font. The default is Times New Roman font.

(2) Click the drop-down button on the right side of the font size box to bring up the font size drop-down list. Click to select the appropriate font size.

(3) Click the color button, a color drop-down list will pop up, listing some common colors, click to select the appropriate color.

(4) Click the bold button to set the font to bold; click the italic button to set the font to italic; click the underline button to underline the label.

(5) The far right of the text column is the mathematical symbol panel button, which can be used to create commonly used mathematical symbols. Click this button and the mathematical symbol panel toolbar appears, as shown in the figure below.

(6) Click the symbol button on the far right of the mathematical symbol panel to open the symbol panel (as shown below), which can be used to enter some uncommon mathematical symbols.
