As the computer is used for a long time, the space available on the C drive will become smaller. What should I do? Today, the editor will introduce to you the specific steps to expand the C drive space of the Partition Assistant Professional Edition. Friends in need, come and follow the editor to take a look!

1. Check the partition status

Before expanding the C drive, first determine whether the C drive can be expanded, where it can be expanded, and where it cannot be expanded.

1) On the same disk, to determine whether the C drive can be expanded, you need to check whether there is unused space:

Other partitions have been created but have not yet been used. In this example, both the D and I partitions have unused space.

Unallocated space on the same disk.

There is a partition, but the data is not important, but it is deleted and becomes unused space.

2) Where can it be expanded.

After determining the unallocated space on the same disk, these spaces can theoretically be owned by the C drive.

3) From which places cannot be expanded?

Those of you who are careful must have noticed that in this example there are 2 * partitions on disk 1. What are these?

In Partition Assistant Professional Edition, you can switch the default display interface to a more detailed list mode through the view switching button in the upper right corner. In this mode, you can intuitively see the basic situation of each partition of the disk. The type and status columns determine which partitions cannot be deleted casually. In the picture, the type is "GPT, EFI" and the status is "Active & System". This partition seems small and of no use, but once you delete it and use it as extension C, your system will be finished. It can only be repaired through PE.

2. Create unallocated space

After determining that there is free space on the disk, you can start expanding C.

In order to expand C smoothly, there is only one purpose, let the C drive (front and back) be directly adjacent to the "unallocated space".

The picture above shows the best state of adjusting C. It only takes one more step to expand the C partition.

1) Right-click the I partition (the first partition in front of the unallocated space) and select "Move Partition".

2) Drag the partition block to the far right and click OK.

3) In the same way, all the "barrier partitions" between partition C and "unallocated space" are

4) Right-click the C partition and select Adjust/Move Partition. Then you can use all the unallocated space to expand C as shown below.

5) Click the "Submit" button on the main interface of the Partition Assistant to officially start performing the above operations.

The above explains the specific steps to expand the C drive space of Partition Assistant Professional Edition. I hope friends in need can learn from it.
