Enter the Linux command line mode with default settings on the Windows system. Simply test the Chinese output, as shown in the figure. It should display "command not found", but it displays garbled characters.

Reopen putty's login interface. Select Default Settings.

Select "Category->Window->Translation" on the left, and you can see on the right that the value of "Remote Character set" is "Use font encoding"

Modify the value of "Remote Character set" to "UTF-8" to support Chinese encoding.
