Sony PS5 console family debut: black and white combination, full of technology style

Sony has now officially announced information about the PlayStation 5 family bucket.

The Sony PS5 console adopts a black and white design, consistent with the color of the controller; it can be placed vertically; it includes two versions: one with a 4K Blu-ray drive and a purely digital version. Since the digital-only version does not have an optical drive, the PS5 model without an optical drive will be much thinner than the one with an optical drive and is expected to be cheaper.

Unlike the Xbox Series X, the PS5 appears to be designed to only be placed vertically beneath a TV or monitor. The top of the PS5 unit has cooling vents, while some I/O ports are located on the front.

Sony has also built a number of accessories for the PS5, including the DualSense controller, a new HD camera, Pulse 3D wireless headphones, and a media remote. Sony PS5 has a dedicated SSD solution, which will provide 825GB of storage space and 5.5GB/s performance; Sony requires all games to be installed on the built-in SSD to take advantage of this higher read speed, Sony officials said, The PS5 loads 100 times faster than the PS4, with games launching in less than 1 second with almost no loading time. PS5 also supports 8K, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3D audio.

Sony announced the DualSense controller for PS5 on April 7: the controller features adaptive triggers, haptic feedback and new buttons designed to share game content. Like the DualShock controller, the D-pad and buttons will be on the top half of the controller, with the two analog sticks on the bottom. The DualSense controller will also have a touchpad and new light strips on either side of the touchpad.

The Sony PS5 will also support most of the more than 4,000 existing PlayStation 4 games. "We expect backwards-compatible games to run at higher frequencies on PS5 so they can benefit from higher and more stable frame rates or resolutions," Sony said in March.
