After opening the Cubase software, click File-New Project to create a new project.

Right-click the red box in the picture.

Select [Add Instrument Track] in the pop-up menu.

In the pop-up dialog box, click [No VST Instrument].

Select the sound source you want to load in the pop-up menu. The picture below shows the sound source I have installed here.

This will mount the sound source to a new track. The position of the red box in the picture is the control bar of the currently selected track. If you want to remount this track with another sound source, you can click where the arrow points.

Click the icon pointed by the arrow here to bring up the control interface of the sound source.
