Here the editor provides two ways to copy or move text based on the application area:

1. Move or copy items in the same window

Select the items to copy or move.

Please do one of the following:

To copy, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy or use the shortcut Ctrl + C.

To move, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Cut or use the shortcut Ctrl + X.

Click where you want the selected item to appear.

Click Paste in the Clipboard group or use the shortcut Ctrl + V.

2. Drag items between different windows

Select the items to copy or move.

Do one of the following: To copy information: Ctrl-drag.

To move information: Drag the selected item directly.

Drag the selected item to the document tag of the target document and make it active.

Places the copied or moved items in the new location of the target document.

Release the mouse.

On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, in the Paste drop-down list, you can choose from Formatted Text, Match Current Formatting, Unformatted Text, and Paste Special Paste method. Use this button to make copying and pasting between different windows easier.

3. Paste unformatted text to quickly eliminate the original format of copied articles.

From other document types, select Copy content and copy it.

Open the WPS text, right-click on the document and select the "Paste Special" command, or select "Paste Special" from the "Paste" drop-down menu in the "Clipboard" group.

In the "Paste Special" dialog box, you can select the format of the pasted content.

The format of content copied from web pages or PDFs is always strange. If you choose "Unformatted text" to paste at this time, the pasted content will remain exactly the same as the format above. If there is no above text, it will be changed to the default style of the WPS text body. As shown below:
